LCD panel, the refresh rate is fine, but if I rotate it with xrandr to

2. sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
3. sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart

I have been testing cifs due to current smb issues with large files (see
bug #38886) and I have stumbled across a number strange behaviors. Most
of them are related to access right issues.
I am using Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy), kernel 2.6.17-10-generic,
I must admit myself I can add some further weight on this
unstableness issue.
I have been trying to do various tests using cifs and a NAS drive and I
got a lot of funny results. For example when copying data, small files
will go through fine but bigger ones will get an access denied
exception
The samba/cifs protocol has a part that is dedicated to negociate if
large files are supported or not. The only thing is that the samba mount
command will report itself has not supporting large files unless the
lfs flag is used.
I must admit at some point I have been thinking of reversing the
/var/logs/syslog related :

I used to have apport popping out almost once every two boots of my laptop,
leading me to this very bug report.
Since I installed the mountall patch corresponding to bug 571707, it has never
appended again.
FMPOV, the present bug is fixed.

Hi there,
The above apport-collect data comes from a test done using kernel
2.6.32-14-generic (lucid lynx 10.04 alpha 2), installed on top of an up-
to-date kamic koala distribution (I've kept everything else than the
kernel-related packages untouched).

alpha 3 distribution.
Result of a 2nd attempt to resume from a suspend leads to a crash.
