it will not fit on a 4.7GB dvd and not all systems boot off of usb well
at least here in north america.
you used to do an alternate iso with a text based install that provided
lower filesize
my tower pc doesnt boot
The missing libraries are the error I get when i try burning anything
with brasero

Hi,
The iso I downloaded was Apr 11.
To date both my machines are on 24.04 via upgrade from 22.04 to 23.10
then to 24.04, direct upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04 failed.
I am not doing any further testing as i have some health issues to
attend to.

Just wanted to give you the update as of today with all the updates standby
doesn't work. It goes in standby but it does not wake up but the computer
stays on with the light on and the fan on.
But the power off feature works fine.

exactly what you're talking about.

choice but to do improper shutdowns, this could corrupt the journal. So

Thank you to clarify.
I wasn't even able to boot off of the installer DVD and start the
installer. I tried in safe mode and regular mode and let it try to boot for
3 hours and got an error message. And on the safe mode I got blurry screen.

I'm actually being pretty gutsy today. I backed up all the information for
my laptop. Now I'm doing a clean install of Ubuntu 22.04 development branch
it is just taking absolutely forever to start the installer.

the prob exists in the software icon in my taskbar.
I actually use a mac them on gnome that comes as the default.
So the prob would be the *deb file when double click opens the
snap-store* which cant install a deb file. ok im clear sorry for the

software but it was telling me that didnt exist.

and my pc said no information collected.
the prob happens when gdebi is calling software.
gdebi works fine in terminal though.

My wifi on my laptop(wireless shuts off when the laptop is not in use for an
extended amount of time.I remember this bug a few versions back.
I have system standby disabled that should override.

Im terribly sorry I just am at an alternate location and we were having
wifi issues. Upon wireshark investigation I saw a lot of packets
appearing as tcp stack out of order and it was retransmitting them. My
laptop worked on 18.04 well. Now im thinking its just the wifi right
now. I think
