I had this (#3) happen again, and this time I managed to SSH into the affected machine and saw that Xorg was consuming roughly 66% and imwheel was consuming 33%. I killed the imwheel process, and Xorg instantly became more responsive. Changing the package to imwheel instead of xorg-server. **
