Most people still using Windows for gaming, personal use, company use ,
embedded system (e.g., ATM).
Many education institution still teaches Microsoft lock-in stuff.
Linux desktop or Ubuntu desktop's share is still around 1% niche.

[grub2] fails to start OS X

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and Mac OS X dual-boot.
For my case, the GRUB cannot boot my OS X correctly, so I also want to hide OS
X entries.
It turns out that the hidding steps are quite straightforward:
sudo chmod -x /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober
sudo update-grub

~20,000).
I wonder whether you proposed change would cause regression for some
users.
