I'm running some additional scripts on my picoreplayer instances to pull
data from some bluetooth based sensors. This script requires pcre
support in grep.
My older picoreplayer 7.0 systems still work as they currently have grep
3.1
Code:
tc@bluesqueeze:~$ grep
If the created or modified date on the file has changed will it update
it? When I update by music backup I don't sync files just because the
created date changes.
Thanks,
Howard

This seems to be a similar question. But I don't understand the answer.
Does this help in any way? I
QLMS 8.3@2.21 x64 (digimaster) with perl 5.30.1 / QNAP 469L QTS 4.3.4

Yes it doesnt use Samba at all. Not sure if its built into pCP or not.

This works with 775. Is there any configuration that will work with the
config above? Any group I can put dear squeezeboxserver and myself into?
If not, I'd have to change the rights every

Sorry for the Noob question, but can rsync run without Samba (using SSH,
I guess)? And could I run rsync on the Pi (on PcP)?

In QNAP's ControlPanel I added the user squeezeboxserver to the the
group
Respectfully, wouldn't it still need user intervention to decide what
types of files you wanted to compare in order to do it as quickly as
possible?

Maybe somebody with better skills might disagree, but I don't think what
you'r trying to do is
Not to beat a dead horse, but one of the reasons I don't think you'll
ever get this to be automatic and that I like FreeFileSync is, sometimes
you only want to edit or add certain types of files. Maybe you've just
added a few album covers or something like that. With FreeFileSync you

Hi all,
I' am running the docker lmscommunity/logitechmediaserver:latest on a
Synology without almost no problem, but there is one point:
In the LSM information tab, the IP Adr 172.19.0.0 of the
logitech-mediaserver is in the docker NW range what is oke. Also the
squeezebox Radio IP Adr
I use a Linux server with files on Qnap via NFS successfully and have
done for years.
By default the NFS mount is root.root
I cant look now but if I recall correctly the user that runs LMS on the
Linux box is indeed squeezeboxserver but critically it is in the root
group and this is what gives

I've tried that but keep having problems with it. Keeps freezing LMS and
then takes forever to get it reboot and recognise the external USB

Ubuntu is up and running, LMS is up and running - but without a music
library. I managed to mount the NAS' "Multimedia" folder, but I cannot
access most subfolders in midnight commander, unless I start it with
sudo. I'm able to access these folders with my username using Windows,
but I guess
I use FreeFileSync to sync up 3 servers and a 4th hard drive. Works
easily enough and takes no time except the wait if you have a large
database. The fastest way for me is to remove the drive or USB thumb
drive and sync it on a Windows machine using USB 3.X The 500GB thumb
drive in my car isn't

Let me know next time if you need 64bit testing.
I cannot promise too fast reaction times and too extensive testing (job,
family, kids, ...) but I use LMS on an almost daily

Yes! That seems to work. What's more I can add the streams under
different folders by genre as per my subscription of over 200 channels
from 5

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I have installed the plugin and restarted the system, but,
unfortunately, that does not seem to fix the problem I have. In the
playlist the name of the stream is still overridden by the song title.
Perhaps instead of using a playlist is it possible to add the

I figured you were heavily involved in your work. That's why I didn't
want to stress you out. I'm glad you're
I think it is a "feature" of how LMS works.
However, does the "What Was That Tune?" plugin help?
I am not sure if it will show you what you are after but it might.

Running the latest piCorePlayer and LMS.
I have a practical issue. I am using piCorePlayer and LMS and it all
works fine except for one thing.
I have a music streaming subscription with many channels. I created
playlists that contain all channels and set them in a folder on
piCorePlayer and it
The CEC approach that I documented relies on the new KMS and cannot work
with the f (for fake) fKMS.
That does not mean that it is impossible to do but it is harder and not
something that I plan to work on.

I discovered if I use dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-3d,noaudio instead of
vc4-kms-3d,noaudio the bcm2835 hdmi audio works at 192khzbut no
/dev/cec so cec-ctl fails. Below are the steps I followed..
