Something that I've become aware of recently is that if I have an album
or tracks in the queue, other albums or more tracks appended to the
queue don't always play when the original selection finishes. I can't
pin it down to any particular sequence or logic.
Is there some setting that controls

Thanks. I think I may have switched the Pi on before the NAS had fully
started up. Having repeated the sequence of turning both off and then on
again, leaving a few minutes

Having added new albums I've now had two instances where, when I select
'Look for new and changed media files', the entire library is deleted
rather than being rescanned. In trying to recover this, selecting 'Clear
library and rescan everything' does nothing. If I reboot the server from
the LMS

Not initially. I use WinSCP and it was one of several hidden files. Have
now added my own presets. Success!
Does the note on the Tweaks page need amending to point at /home/tc ?
Thanks for the pointer.

Yes I am using the equalizer in Tweaks, but I wanted to save my own

Excellent, thank you. I misread it and thought that the file already
existed! Sorry.

Can someone tell me where the alsaequal presets are located? The Tweaks
page says it's $HOME/.alsaequal.presets but I don't see anything there.

That seems to have been the issue. Having swapped the gpio-shutdown from
pin 17 to 27, it now works again. Why
I've used an Audiophonics Power Management Module (PMM) for over 7
months with a Pi3 + LMS. It's been permanently powered on and the power
switch only used a few times. It's used with the recommended power
overlays.
The first sign of something odd was that the Pi3 started to reboot
randomly
I've been unable to play DSD tracks on my Pi3/IQAudio/pCP/LMS system,
although had previously done so with the same DAC using Rune, so I was
fairly sure it should be possible. Updating manually via the extensions
page as noted above didn't make any difference. I eventually found a

The output settings were correct and resaving them didn't help, so I
selected Analog Audio and saved that. On reboot, Squeezelite started, so
I reselected the DAC and rebooted again. Squeezelite started and showed

An insitu update on my Pi2 player hasn't worked properly. I can see the
instance of pCP but Squeezelite doesn't start. Looking at the boot log
it shows:
Code:
Starting Squeezelite and/or Shairport-sync...

Having run pCP as server and player I decided to use a Pi3 as a server,
with separate PIs as players. It's all working as expected but if I turn
Squeezelite off on the server I then can't see the other player tabs on
the pCP page. Is this correct behaviour?
Not a big issue but not what I

This is the thing I'm wondering about. Do you mean the PCP 'Main Page'?
The off button on the player doesn't appear to stop LMS.

The advice about switching PiCorePlayer off seems to be that whilst it
runs in RAM and is immune to power-off corruption, LMS can be corrupted
by power removal, presumably if it's writing data at the time.
I've been in what I thought was the good habit of switching off via the
UI and then

I took a simple way out and rebuilt the system from scratch. My original
reason for using a fixed ip address was that I couldn't get the mapping
of ip and MAC
No, the system was effectively dead. I switched off WiFi, switched off,
removed the WiFi adaptor, plugged the ethernet cable in but there was
nothing showing on network scanner. I had it set up for static ip
addresses and wonder whether this might be significant.

OK thanks, I can set it up again but I'm puzzled why wireless works

In setting up my PiCorePlayer on wireless (with a static ip address)
rather than a bad power-line ethernet connection, I find it will work if
the ethernet is connected but won't work if I remove it. I've found

Well, I had no expectation that this would work but it has done!
It works with a BBC iPlayer 'Listen Live' station as the favourite

I updated to 4.1.0 yesterday and AutoStart appears to be broken. The

Hi Greg,
OK, I was hoping that LMS could be closed down instantly too. What is
the likely damage that will be done by not switching it off before
pulling the power?
The system has been in daily use for over two weeks now, and switched
off by turning the power off. Nothing untoward seems to
Brilliant. Once I'd found my way around the Vi editor I was able to
update .filetool.lst and retain my template.
Yes, my reason for switching to PiCorePlayer & LMS was because of the

No, the changes don't persist. The PCP backup appears to just backup the
config file, home directory and options.
