If the QNAP changes IP you will have to redo the connection in PiCorePlayer and it will probably need a rescan. Assuming your router is 192.168.1.1 Go to Network in QNAP and set the static address to IP address 192.168.1.2 Net mask 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.1.1 DNS 8.8.8.8 DNS2 8.8.4.4

I have LMS on a Pi2 and a Pi3 both piCorePlayer with music on QNAP. Music is mostly FLAC (some 96/24) I have zero buffering so not sure why you would have such an issue. Actually 2 x QNAP one is a Ts109 so even Lower power than your 119. Something isn't right if you get buffering on a fully wired
