That's most probably a custom-patched version to connect to a non-standard
smsc. Those parameters are not documented on Kannel's user guide because
they do not exist.
Probably someone modified the source code to add those parameters. If you
have access to that code you could compare it against
1.4.1,
but I didn't find the original (unmodified) source code, and not in
kannel.org either (http://www.kannel.org/olddownload.shtml).
Does anybody has a clean (official) 1.4.1 source code, so I could make some
comparison?

Claudio,
Use the latest CVS snapshot, it's considered as stable as 1.4.3 and it has
the meta-data functionality.
That document is mostly valid (at least for meta-data) it's only lacking the
per-smsc setting, which was added later.
Anyway, you can always download the latest snapshot's userguide
One more thing: do _not_ mix boxes between 1.4.1 and CVS, and be sure you
don't have messages left on the store. The file formats are different.
Regards,
Alejandro

Have you tried googling for it? You'll find your question answered about a
thousand times.
There's a very very well written blog post by Donald Jackson with complete
details. I'm sure you'll figure out the rest.

I think it's a leftover from older times where an actual timestamp was used
Yes, they are correlated, only one is decimal and the other hex:
2782057873 == 0xa5d2d591

Kannel has a parameter to match different formats, check the user guide for
the msg-id-type parameter.
Hope it helps,

| you're right. My question is not whether I can put Kannel within the DNS.
My question is how to bind the Kannel
No it's not related to kannel at all and there's nothing to do in kannel to
point a domain to an IP.
If you're asking this, you need to do your homework about DNS resolution...
Besides, the architecture document, apart from being out of date, it's not
the user guide, which you should be using to
reaching a Web server passes the
DNS to convert my IP address to a URL under a domain. Does anyone know how?
I recommend, so that really does know how Kannel in all its magnitude, the
document architecture.

Nobody said it wasn't important. It's just not the right document to learn
how to use Kannel.

You evidently ignore how does the DNS protocol works, otherwise you
wouldn't be asking the nonsense questions you're asking
, some other terminal, super user terminal... but it's no

No SSL Support ?
I'm not sure about how would this affect OMA, but you could try recompiling
Kannel with SSL support and see if it helps.
SSL support is compiled by default if you have the proper libraries, check
on the SSL section while running ./configure, you may need to add
was this submitted, and why it didn't make it to the CVS?

No, any complaint XML parser should treat a CDATA section as is, without
enforcing XML compliance with the data inside. The goal of CDATA is to be
able to pass data without having to worry for invalid characters, etc. If
you want to ignore something on XML, you should use a !-- comment --.
I also
that people do not branch
off. Can you try resubmitting? Last time I am afraid I was not involved with
SMS and didn't pay much attention to it.

Try sending the UDH as binary data instead, you're sending the text
