My guess is that you've somehow set AOO to run as administrator.

How do I correct the following:
There is a red underscore under every word, even when it is spelled
correctly. The only way I have found to get rid of it is to go to
Tools

This disables spell check completely.
Seeing the red underscore under every word

The list members would be able to be of better help if you
included in your question the application that is red-underlining
the words that you type.
I'm informed by private email that the problem was solved by deleting or
renaming the OpenOffice User Profile.

make an adjacent column and create a formula that give the number of the
colour of cell. You can save as .csv and discrimine on that number.
