LDAP address book in sqwebmail

Hi guys, I have installed vpopmail 5 and mysql everything is fine but I do have a problem when someone tries to log into qmailadmin and tries to use a vaddalias domain. so for example I have a domain called me.com and I do an alias to metoo.com so basically metoo.com --- me.com I can login qmailadmin with the postmaster of me.com but I cannot log in with postmaster of metoo.com which should be the same. auth problems help important
Hi guys, for some reasons I cannot get my users be auth anymore with sqwebmqail it always tells me invalid user or password. I tried everything, the thing is it use to work and once I try to update vpopmail with shupp patch.2 maildirsize which it used to work too but then I reupdate to patch.2.1 and newer sqwebmail and the sqwebmail stopped working. I tried to go back with vpopmail 5 without patches stable version of sqwebmail but sqwebmail does not allow me in anymore. I can imap and pop fine from the command line but again no sqwebmail. Any suggestions will be welcomed as soon as possible. Remo Mattei

vipmap and env apache
Hi guys I just would like some suggestions from you. I have vipmap and I map an ip to a domain but it's still not working. I notice that the sqwebmail is still calling the main sqwebmail exe from my main server /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin instead of calling the one from the /home/httpd/vhost/domain.com/cgi-bin so even though I did map the ip it still says from the main ip. I have read through the doc for setup the virtual here is what Ihave put in the apache file: SetEnv SQWEBMAIL_TEMPLATEDIR /home/httpd/vhost/mastroraphael.com/webmail but this line does not do anything with the cgi-bin script any suggestions? I have many domains setup with there own cgi-bin dir. so the question is what do I need to do to make vipmap working? what suggestions do you have for the env in apache for the cgi-bin script so each of the server is running their own sqwebmail script. I want to say that it does work it just called the main sqwebmail script. THANKS, REMO

Just wonder is this normal? vpopmail+mysql+imap
Hi to everyone, sorry if this has already been posted, I have installed vpopmail + mysql + courier imap with sqwebmail and everything works execpt the courier-imap for authentication and I specify with-authmysql. so the box comes up since it's running but validation is not getting through. Suggestion for virtual sqwebmail
Hi guys I know this is not a sqwebmail list but I would like to know if sqwebmail 3.1 will support virtual host with their own cgi-bin dir, or do I need to recompile everytime? Here is an update on my ldap installation. I have modified vldap for my domain, with my passwd. I compiled and went ok. Now when I try to add a domain I get this below. ./vadddomain testme.com Please enter password for postmaster: enter password again: Error: No such object Error: No such object Error: No such object Error: No such object Error: Unable to chdir to vpopmail/users directory I did create a directory called users and give vpopmail all the permissions. BTW there is a security hole in the script for qadmin-tmda. Moreover, you cannot use it with the later version only with the version that was design for. I have modified it to work with newer version until I found the hole, then I stop using it. You can use tmda-cgi now, which I have not used yet but seems really good. I Have spamassassin though that it does not do any marking, I have compiled qmail-scanner after spamassassin but I still do not get a text saying SPAM for that message :( I look at the log and I get the info there and says spam is working but really it's not :) any suggestions or site that have different setup that I can try would be nice. Hi guys I have an old mail server with vpopmail 5.3.12 and I am building a new one more powerful which I want to migrate all users to. I have dump the database mysqldump and imported in the new one however it did not import the users J my plan was to create the domain and then copy all the domain info from the old to new. I have done it with cdb and work great I even have it done from cdb to mysql and worked fine but mysql to mysql having a fit J I have even copy the data dir from my old mysql to my new one but still do not see the users. Hi guys, I would like to know if there is a way to enable quota editing only for specific domains. Let see I want jon.com allow the postmaster to be able to assign quota but I do not want to allow quota editing to mario.com. In addition is there a way that I can assign a global quota to a domain, I do not really care if the domain is going to have 1 account or 100 accounts as long as they are in the quota settings. Hi guys, I have an off topic question and I will appreciate any suggestions. I have vpopmail running, with mysql + spamassassin the question is this. Spamassassin will tag the email message on the Subject [SPAM] only if I create the .qmail-user file and in addition to that if I use pop it does not tag the mail little strange, wonder if anyone has had a similar problem and how they have solved it. BTW, if I have the info in the .qmail-default only it will not work even it will scan the message. Hi I was wonder if I need to set a special option when adding users since I want them to added and have them type their own password. I am moving users from one box to another and I do not have their passwd. If I have the users added with the -n password option then it will not put any password ..I use mysql I checked and it does not put the password there, not shows when I do vuserinfo. I've just migrated from vpopmail 5.2.1 using CDB to vpopmail 5.3.20
using MySql. During this migration I discovered a small bug in vconvert.
When running 'vconvert -c -m', vconvert reads the
/var/qmail/users/assign file, which on my system ends with a line
containing a .\n When vconvert reaches this line, the check for
tmpbuf[1] != '\n' in line 120 fails, but this does not stop the next
line (conv_domain( tmpbuf[1] )) from being executed. Of course this
does not work - it tries to convert a domain called \n. My fix is the
following code:

Hello guys I am looking to get information for aliases what command do I need to get it going, I have a script that will check if a user exist if it doesn't then it will forward to another box but if it does then it will deliver the mail locally. Try patch 967994 on SourceForge http://vpopmail.sf.net/. I've rolled
it into the 5.4 branch of CVS and it will be in 5.4.5. I think it will
help with that error.

Hello guys how do I set limits on for pop3 in vpopmail 5.4? I need to have this on by default. Thanks, PS I tried vmoduser -p username but no luck still says limits are set for the entire domain (default value) I checked the vpopmail.limits but did not see anything there.
