On second reading I may have misunderstood your question, are you trying to load balance between two servers for a single domain? If that is the case a pretty simple solution would be to split up addresses using subdomains. That is, at the bottom line you have mail1.domain.com, and mail2.domain.co

This doesn't have anything to do with vpopmail. Very simple qmail config. On your secondary server, add the domains for which you are running backup to rcpthosts. Then add the backup server as a lower priority MX to your DNS. The qmail server on the backup machine will accept the mail, realize they
