vpopmail-updating-sqwebmail-passwords error on my part which could have been
avoided apparently if I had rtfm a little more closely.

Just want to ask if there is an available feature that allows a certain user

When this happens, they can only see a black screen and can't

Hello Ken/Bill/List Members
How is the password encrypted by vpopmail for virtual users? We need to
authenticate users in vpopmail cdb database using java api but the password
returned is encrypted. Enabling clear passwords in vpopmail wouldn't be the

Hello list ..

Hello ..
what would be the best way to block certain domain names or ips i guess from
sending mail .. like is there a way to stop it at smtp connections? rather

Recently after re-compiling vpopmail-5.4.17, now any time I go to delete a
user (either through command line or qmailadmin) I get the following error:
ark bin # ./vdeluser [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Failed to delete user from auth backend
Error: Illegal username
What would be causing this?
Update:
The user is removed from the db, but the user's directory still exists.
Weird.

To clarify, there was a previous installation of vpopmail from source. The
install using the ebuild did not compile with the proper options, leaving
the previous install in bad shape.
