Re: [vchkpw] vpopmail default domain? SOLVED!

2003-09-08 Thread mc 02
Hi,

Thanks to Michael Bowe and Jeremy. Its solved.

Installed vpopmail-5.3.27 with ip-alias-domain (together with other options of
course). And placing my default domain in
~vpopmail/etc/defaultdomain. I've managed to login with just my user name only.

Thanks all

MC

well, think about it for a second. All of your domains are being served
by one IP address. How are you to differentiate between [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and [EMAIL PROTECTED] if all you log in as is joe? One could argue that it
just picks the one with the right password, but what if they both have
the same password? or what if maybe [EMAIL PROTECTED] accidentally types
in [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s password?

The syntax that you quote is only for use with vpopmail-5.3.25 and later

If you are using vpopmail-5.3.20, you need to use the configure script's
"--enable-default-domain=domain.com" setting

Michael.

for all my domains. Is there any other way?
Or do i need to recompile my vpopmail?
