That's also important for me and that's a feature free svn tools
miss.
So here can a comercial tool make some plus point.
Are there plans to integrate into versions this ?

I'm not Jason, but wow.. what a nice reply from Versions team member..
Version is nice, and I was really looking forward to pay for the

Yes, you should.
But so should we, your followers/customers.

Hi all,
As we said earlier, we are working on EDU pricing. There is no
announcement yet because we want to get it right the first time
around, *because* we care.
However, we think it's more important that Versions works right for
people who already bought it and for people who are using the dem
Dirk,
actually, my money are already on account of Zennaware, the maker of
Cornerstone.
Not an impulsive decision, but rather a decision dictated by balance
of features, price and support quality (replies from Zennaware almost
always come in matter of minutes and are very professional).

Thanks Mikhail,
I hope Cornerstone keeps working for you, and if not: you know where

Hi Balu,
The amount of changes in the files shouldn't have any influence.
Do you consistently get the same problem with the same files? If so,
and the filenames contain any special characters (umlauts, accents,
etc.), this might be related to the encoding problems mentioned in
this thread:

I'm not trying to convince you, but I'd be remiss if I didn't offer
more information *grin*
I believe 10.5 still comes with a web server - check the Sh

There is a related oddity: when there are no differences (it should
say "files identical", but doesn't). BBEdit as my external diff tool.
For example, open a file under svn, add a space, save. remove the
space, save. switch to versions showing "changed", hit refresh if
necessary to see the file
I also just bought Cornerstone since I don't like your "maybe someday
when we are bored" mentality.

For the record, I found Sofa's response congenial and not attitudey,
more of a "we understand that you're upset and want to choose another

no hard feelings, OK?" I'd prefer that to a sniveling manservant-type

For the server to work this way, you will also have to install and enable
Apache's mod_dav_svn extension which lets the webserver handle svn requests.
Otherwise the solution may be just to use a different external storage
devise than the time capsule, like maybe a hard drive connected to the time
Just for the record, I second this.
Koen's first reply offered a perfectly acceptable answer, and there is
very little else Dirk could have said in his second reply. But people
hear what they want to hear, especially if they were looking for a
reason to justify not buying Versions to begin w
And don't forget svn over ssh like this:
On the server:
svnadmin create /Users/shared/Subversion/MyRepository (Or "Create
Local Repository" in Versions)
URL for Versions:
svn+ssh:///Users/shared/Subversion/MyRepository
As a user and password you can use any user/password combination valid

How does that even make sense? How can you mess up educational pricing?

Wow, nice attitude.
You can't have the mentality of "let the people come to us" when you
have a product competing against you that is totally up to par and has
its act together.
You are helping them ge

David,
Yes, I am sure that the Versions team has its priorities, but as I
stated previously, they are neglecting such a portion of the market
where it is a small niche to begin with. Screaming often helps people
see what they are missing and jump on it.
This is not working for the Versions

I made you a demo movie which should make it clear how to set it up
