In general, I'd have to say it's overwhelmingly Quicktime mpeg4 of some kind. I have 78 feeds in FireAnt and 74 of them are QuickTime. It used to be 73 and then Carl Weaver started using QuickTime. I didn't specifically look for QuickTime only - though if people provide a choice (like 3D Roger)

Many publishers will continue to keep in mind the popularity of the video iPod.This results in mostly Quicktime compatible media being the choice and preference which is probably the best thing that has come out of Apple ;-) I also encourage the use of DivX. See divx.com. This is excellent

From seeing how you do your videos I would think that a livelier mic would be better for you. A good lav will cost some bucks and unfortunately the good ones require a kind of mic jack that your camera doesn't have. But you might be able to find a decent one with a mini jack that doesn't cost

For what it's worth, Anne and I are digging our new Canon ZR500. It's firewire interface to the pc/mac, not usb, takes mini dv tapesslight noise from the motor, but it does have an external mic jack.I did a bit of leg work before buying it and from what I found, it performed really well
