Just a bit of info about adaptive streaming, it's gaining a lot of momentum. At work we use the Move player (which ABC uses to stream full episodes, / www.movenetworks.com). Each video gets simulcoded to multiple profiles which each have different video/audio bitrates and display sizes, all the

Hi all, I'm in the process of getting ready to expand my offering of educational library videos with a new show and would like some feedback. Basically the show will go as follows: 1. I introduce the topic on camera, 2. I show a screencast of a business database or website, 3. I sum up the

Thanks, Richard, for the idea of increasing the volume level. Even Windows Movie Maker has this feature, although I have never thought to use it. (*headdesk*). Even changing the volume slightly helps out a great deal. Thanks a bunch! On Mon, Aug 17, 2009 at 2:48 PM, Richard Amirault

Hi Rupert, I got a Canon SD 780 IS a few weeks ago, and it records in both HD and SD as MOV files. I may have to take the plunge and get Vegas so I can edit the MOV files. The trial of Vegas is working out pretty well, so it's a matter of getting off my wallet when the trial expires. I did a

Interesting! They must have switched from AVI now that they do HD. Thanks for the comparison vids. Not much in it, except - as you say - the wider angle and the slightly better sound in the Canon. When you're closer to the camera in a quiet interior, I'd imagine the difference in the

just some history on this stuff, QT did this quite a while ago (years), don't remember what they called it. Basically you compressed 2 or 3 or 4 times and you embedded a single QT movie which knew of the others. The QT client sent info like data rate, connection speed, etc and on that
