Will this be a problem getting mini DV footage into the Pro via 800. I played

I capture to FW800 from DV all the time. Just use a 4 pin FW400 to FW800

Oh and the camera/deck isn't supposed to mount unless you're in some sort of
card/drive mode for uploading photos. You can check to see if it's being
recognized using applemeneaboutthismacmoreinfo.

It may sound silly but I am deeply disappointed in Blip.tv for allowing the

Damn you Blip for this, I think it's a bloody shame!

Better to allow McCain/any one else you don't agree with to air their views
and let the people decide what's good and what's not.

I agree; web censorship is not a good thing and if McCain wants to use blip,
by all means, they should be able to.
As with all videos on the web: you dont like it, dont watch it. And by all
means, dont click on their ads!

Michael,
There are lots of Obama related videos on blip.tv (and YouTube) for
that matter, just as there are lots of McCain related videos on
blip.tv (and YouTube), for me, the issue is not whether one party or
another is on the site, the question is, do they support and allow
videos from

The Mccain campaign spends millions on these ads... then they publish them for
free (or
are they Pro's for $ 95?) on a hosting service based in NY, run by people who
mostly (i

Some of these ads have a racist undertone, to put

I'm also a 'stakeholder' by that regard and I am for McCain. I wouldn't
call Obama, nor his campaign, a thug, no do I consider McCain, nor his

want Obama's speech hampered in any way. How can I be proud to win if it
Well, we have no idea what happened behind closed doors between Blip.tv and
the McCain campaign. They very well might be making a boat-load. Which
would be great! :-)
But as far as offensive political content goes, I recently uploaded a video

Ok, maybe the word thug is incorrect.
How about: deceivers, fibbers, fabricators, equivocators? Or are they just

Maybe, but they shouldn't be censored for any of it. Free speech is free

Well this sounds like you should be emailing them directly with the
offending clips. You know they will answer back quickly.
Unless the idea is to just throw the perceived problem out into the public
without finding out how blip.tv thinks about it. Things have been handled
that way before, but
Ok final call. I thought that since Blip is part of the community this would be

Michael.
Find me a McCain video on Blip that wiuld be investigated in any EU country for
violating hate speech laws and we have a discussion. Until then, we don't.

Michael, I am probably going to kick myself and have others do it for
me for keeping this thread alive but I have to comment on what you
have presented.
1. With extremely limited exceptions, freedom of speech is extended to
all Americans. Especially the ones I disagree with. It is not
debatable.
I wonder how many McCain points this piece was worth?
I smell troll...
I'll be holding my nose, voting for the least likely to wipe their
