$1000 for mediarss support in drupal is very high price to pay. but also provides a lot of attention/motivation to the community if this needs to get done expeditiously. i asked JD of ourmedia to talk to jay about their mediarss module. I am sure its not entirely ideal and may be dependent on

Except that Drupal and feeds are a bit messed up so you usually have to hack node.module to get changes to the built-in feeds. It's the one thing that sucks big time about Drupal. I'd love to see a media rss module for drupal, but I also know it's outside my level of competence to make mysel

Yeah, I like as andreas points out using the class attibute to declare a thumbnail. Because class is an atribute unlike name that is standard across all manner of elements (images, links ans such) and it is very extensible allowing the specification of multiple atributes and nearly infinite namesp

I do very much like the idea of a generic "@media:foo" that can be placed in media:foo in the feed itself. That idea has some serious promise. Eric Lunt wrote: > > Thanks for roping me in, Mike. We'd be very interested in supporting > additional microformats that would map to Media RSS elements

Thanks for roping me in, Mike. We'd be very interested in supporting additional microformats that would map to Media RSS elements in the feed. Ideally, it would be nice to just define a scheme so that we can determine which elements could be added as attributes to the media:content element (like @m

Andreas is correct on both points: This isn't a discussion for the videoblogging list, and rel=thumbnail won't work. I've made my case about class=thumbnail, too... So what's the consensus about the right way to attach semantic information to images? (future replies should be to Vertigo only)

We currently use rel="enclosure" in cross-posts, but we don't and can't use rel="thumbnail" because (afaik) images in XHTML don't have a rel attribute. I'd be very hesitant to use something like class="thumbnail" because of potentially conflicting CSS on remote sites (we prefix class names in
