New Yorker Films exists in name only. Jonathan is no longer there and that

I am fairly certain that Janus now has rights to CEDDO along with most of

I agree that sub licensing is far more likely then them ever agreeing to
physical copies. I can say from experience that for MOST things Netflix and
Amazon do not own EDU rights but they almost surely do for series they
produce and I think for certain films they buy. I have actually had to

I would be wary of "Polish" film distributors as the ones I know in the US
don't really have rights though some of them have legal imports. I can't
imagine any have exhibition rights. I think Kino -Lorber has some "newish"
ones and some older ones. Janus probably has the best classics selection.

The fact that they are from VHS is not really relevent. It is never legal
to post an entire film online unless you are the rights holder or have
written permissin from them (like a contract)The right to digitize and
stream belongs to the rights holder. Would not matter if it were on closed

Nope that is why I would hope all schools invest in them. Dubbing a film
from PAL to NTSC to use it would be a violation of copyright which is why
you should have the muli-system players.
It might be a good idea to check on titles from time to time to see if they
have in fact had US release
