I have not experienced this issue either. Though I have had an annoying issue come up where I double tap the alarm to turn it off, double tap again and it says off, and then a final double tap turns it back on. Not a huge deal but annoying. It hasn't stopped me using the native alarms though.

For clarificatory purposes: I use Amazon.co.uk, and 'there's an app for that'. However, I haven't used the app a great deal, preferring instead to buy books on my PC, and use the Codex program etc. I must 'sync' the Amazon settings between the two devices some time. I halso have the Kindle app.
