hope they are much better, I for one am very underwhelmed by them. After all,
Apple designed the iPhone after having come out with the iPod, which was an
almost revolutionary device for its time as a music player. So

If you go into Accessibility / Audio / Visual there's a, Mono option, button
that can be turned on / off. If turned on volume is a little louder, but I
