Restoring iTunes music purchases

2015-10-17 Thread Wayne Merritt
I have signed up for the iTunes Match service to help keep copies of all my music and take it from one device to the next. I was having a problem with iTunes on my MacBook Pro and took it to my local Apple Store. Long story short, I was told to delete all the songs from the iTunes library and

There are several out there and some transit companies have their own apps, which may or may not be accessible. I use one called Transit Times, don't remember the developer but it cost $1 or $2 I believe. It is laid out very well in 4 different tabs. Though if you want to look at stop times for

iOS 9 has been mostly positive for me. The one hting that I have experienced which is a major inconvenience and very frustrating for me is the focus bug where your focus jumps to the top of a list of items each time you go back. This has happened for me in Settings, the Contacts page of the Phone,

If you use labels in the Gmail web interface, the Gmail app lets you apply multiple labels to a message at one time, which is something that you cannot do with Gmail in basic view on the web. I used the Gmail app for a while and the switched back to the native mail app, mainly because I was not

Custom vibration patterns for voicemail

2015-10-09 Thread Wayne Merritt
Greetings. Does anyone know if it is possible to assign different vibration patterns for voicemails in iOS? I think it would be helpful to have a different vibration pattern for an incoming call verses a voicemail message. Using iOS 9.0.2 on an iPhone 6S, for what it's worth. Wayne -- Follow me

To my knowledge, the only place where the new Text Selection feature does not work is in Messages. This is one big place where I wish it would work. If you open a text message and find some text, you will not find the Text Selection rodar item at all. I was talking with some colleagues today about

One way to deal with it and have your number entered but keep it secure would be to only enter your card/account number in the phone number, but not your password/passcode. This is what I do for my checking and credit card account numbers, since the account number is way more digits than I can do

updated to iOS 9.0.2, did a reset, and erase all data and settings on the phone. Then restoring from iCloud was not a problem. This was probably the long way around on my part, but I did have a brand new 6S and wouldn't really lose anything important. Wayne On 10/1/15, Wayne Merritt <wcm
