I doubt it has anything to do with the fact that you have a 4S. The 4S
is still supported by Apple and IOS 8. There's no new feature in newer
models of the iPhone that would allow you to enter the @ in newer
devices but not older devices.
I've even read that Apple is going to refactor IOS so

Hi. I have a 4s. I put my bank's app on my phone and tried to log in.
No matter which keyboard I use, either the phone one, the apple
keyboard, or the focus braille display with any type braille, it will
not allow me to put the At or dot sign in my email address; it bonks
and vibrates.
Is
an old Braille 'n Speak and that had a good line in braille input and

Hi.
I think it would be best to wait until IOS 8 comes out if possible.
Mbraille is a bit expensive, and we do not know how things will work in IOS 8.

I would be interested to know which braille input programs are preferred
by braille users on this list. I know about Fleksy, M-Braille, braille
commands, and possibly others of which I am unfamiliar. So if you
would, please let me know which of these programs you like best and also

MBraille is the best one I've found. It offers reliable braille entry, a good
help file, a mailing list where the developer is willing to answer questions
and take feedback, and dot commands. For instance, I can type a tweet in
braille, flick down for a new line, type .tweet, and the tweet is
input and
interpretation.

I am writing this reply with mBraille. It is the best I have found.
The continuing development is very impressive.
I find it rather relaxing to use. I use the away mode.
The documentation is excellent.
It does have a hefty price tag at $29.99 but I think it is worth it.
It will take some time to

I found something I hadn't realized before with my Legend. I was listening to
an NLS Talking Book and my wife called me from the livingroom. I pulled the
ear peace out of my ear and tossed it on the counter. When I got back and
picked it up, as I got the ear peace close to my ear, I heard
