Are you sliding the phone or do you pick it up and put it down again? It did

Ok, got a bit further, though I had to tap in random places until I got a
reaction. The measurements are pretty nonsense though,
14cm it quoted when I barely moved it at all. Seems like it's quoting the
sizeof the phone within that figure.
Thanks,

Make sure in the app's setting you have sounds turned on.

I tried it as well, and managed to calibrate it, though the process was odd.

Dan, how did you calibrate it. It says to position the phone in the six
positions shown on the screen and I haven’t any idea what they are.

So, how do you get it to step you through taking a measure?

What unit of measureing does it cover, is this inches or feet?. Measuring a
drive or a room would be good, can't see it doing any
good for woodwork though.

the app is free today.
If you don't get the verbal descriptions of the calibration positions at first,
and you hit the close button, go to settings and double tap on calibration,
then double tap on the close button in there, and you will get good

I would think for this to be accurate the person holding the phone
would need to have a very steady hand.
