Hi Chris, If you use .sms command, MBraille will look up Gary's phone number from contacts. If you use .mail command, it will look up his email address. So .sms command doesn't care about contacts who have no phone number. Same goes for .mail, it does not care about people who have no email

Reggie, there probably is an easier way to find the buy button, but this is how I did it. I typed a text message and put in the command for sms. Once I swiped down, I got an alert screen saying that I need to have MBraille pro to send a text, and there was a buy button. I hope this helps.
