Re: Pill Reminder App question

2024-03-22 Thread Alan Lemly
Hi Sandy, When I just went into Pill Reminder and accessed the Reminders tab, I was able to set up two reminders at the exact same time for the two meds I had previously set up on the Medications tab. You might access the Medications tab to add all your meds and then set up the reminders for the times you want to take them. Alan Lemly Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 22, 2024, at 6:56 PM, Sandra Finley wrote:Recently I asked for recommendations of an app that reminds the user  of daily meds. For some of those reminders I need to put in more than one med and I don’t se how or where to do that. Is this something the app does not  do? Thanks for your help. Sandy Finley

It was writen for iOS 15. I started on an iPhone 10R and finished writing

RE: T-Mobile Phone Number.

2024-03-22 Thread janet gross
Richard,
I just got off the phone with Apple.
The rep who I talked to said she didn’t know anything about this, and she
hasn’t heard anything about this before.
I told her to check the Apple Community web site, and she did, and she did see
what I was talking about.
She also said because of this issue, Apple should be looking in to this, I told
her T-Mobile is still waiting for Apple to return their call, as they reported
this to Apple.
Maybe this is just something new, I’m not sure.
She did also tell me I should remove the Sim Card, and replace it back in, the
same thing T-Mobile told me to do.
She told me where the Sim Tray is, but I don’t know if I have anything around
the house that small to push in the Sim Tray though.
I don’t remember if I kept the box my phone came in, because she said there is
a little pin that comes with the phones to use for the Sim Tray, so I will
have to look for that.
Just thought I would let you know.
Another bug to deal with! Ouch!

the simm tray is opened by pushing a tiny pin, end of a paperclip, or such,
into the tiny hole on the left side of the phone, I think about 1/3 of the way
from the bottom.

I can’t seem to find the Sim card tray to remove the card.
T-Mobile said I could use maybe a earring to remove the card.
Do you know anything about this?
So, T-Mobile said everything is working fine on their end, and only Apple can

RE: Problems with email

2024-03-22 Thread Mario Eiland
Are you referring to notification sounds? I use the Outlook app and this app
works really well if you want a notification for every message that comes in.
You’ll have an add bar showing at the top, but you can ignore that.

Hi, as Michael suggested this morning, I have already deleted the email app and
deleted my Gmail account. This does not bring any. Sounds back when I put the
Gmail account back and the native email back.

Any other suggestions would greatly be appreciated I have also tried changing
the sounds and turned a few other things off. I have also contacted Apple
Accessability, And they seem to think there is a problem that is being worked
on.

Take care.

Subject: taking part in a group chat

Hi,

One of my family members has a group chat which she has added me to. it is
the type of group chat which is created and then people are manually added
so they can take part.

Here is an example to explain it better.

Mary creates a chat and calls it "Family Chat."

She then invites people through the add option to be part of that chat and
anyone who joins can add someone as well.

There are 16 people in this chat, all of whom are in my contact list. When
the messages come in, they show up as being from "Family Chat."

How can I reply to or create a message by using SIRI. Normally I would just
say "Send a message to whoever and then I could speak the message, it would
repeat it and give me the option to send.

Since it is coming up as "Family Chat," how can I either reply to or
initiate an original message without saying all 16 names separately?

Hope that makes sense.

Vicki

Hello Everyone,
Would someone who uses T-Mobile as their phone carrier give me a phone number
to call them for tech support?
I just called them, and the rep who I talked to said T-Mobile has been having a
problem on their end regarding the same issue I am having.
The rep also said he can set up my voice mail greeting, but I can do that
myself, and he said he can get the voice mail messages back.
So the rep told me to dial some numbers, and I did, but we then got
disconnected, and it is a 30 minute wait to have to call them back.
The rep also said it is best if I call them from another phone though, so I
gave him my Magic Jack number, and he said that call isn't going through, I
didn't even hear my phone ring.
So, again I am trying to get in touch with them without having to spend the
entire day on hold waiting for someone to pick up.
Any thoughts or phone numbers, I would greatly appreciate it.

Janet

I thought their number to call them from the phone was 611.

RE: T-Mobile Phone Number.

2024-03-22 Thread janet gross
Richard,

I just now got a call back from T-Mobile, and they talked to Apple.
T-Mobile said they are waiting for Apple to call them back again to see what
the fix for this issue is.
T-Mobile said Apple told them the work around for this is to remove the Sim
card for about a minute, and insert the card back in the tray again, and all
should be well.
I can’t seem to find the Sim card tray to remove the card.
T-Mobile said I could use maybe a earring to remove the card.
Do you know anything about this?
So, T-Mobile said everything is working fine on their end, and only Apple can
correct this.

taking part in a group chat

2024-03-22 Thread Vicki W.
Hi,

One of my family members has a group chat which she has added me to. it is the
type of group chat which is created and then people are manually added so they
can take part.

Here is an example to explain it better.

Mary creates a chat and calls it "Family Chat."

She then invites people through the add option to be part of that chat and
anyone who joins can add someone as well.

There are 16 people in this chat, all of whom are in my contact list. When the
messages come in, they show up as being from "Family Chat."

How can I reply to or create a message by using SIRI. Normally I would just say
"Send a message to whoever and then I could speak the message, it would repeat
it and give me the option to send.

Since it is coming up as "Family Chat," how can I either reply to or initiate
an original message without saying all 16 names separately?

Hope that makes sense.

Vicki

RE: iOS 17.4 and Voice Messages Help Please.

2024-03-22 Thread janet gross
Hello Michael,

I feel the same way you do about updating, but some times these updates start
to get a little darn pesty, so I updated just to get rid of the pest! !
But now, I have a bigger problem, as some of those voice mail messages I
definitely need.
If T-Mobile can’t correct this, I can try calling Apple.
If I can’t get some of those voice mail messages back, I could be up the creek
without a paddle!
This isn’t a good thing, but I do want to know what is causing this, because
the last time I updated, I lost all my recent calls in which I was saving some
of them as well.
As they say, I shell see, just what is the problem.

Hi Richard,

I think I might need to call T-Mobile.
I just called myself from another phone, and I heard my phone ring, and I heard
the alert message letting me know I had a message.
I checked my voice mail, but it didn't show any voice mail message.
When I just now called myself from my other phone, I heard my greeting on my
iPhone saying this person you are calling, doesn't have a voice mail box set
up.
This is unreal!
So ok now, here I come T-Mobile!

Thank you.

Many thanks,

Applevis also has lots of resources including at least one podcast

and search for face id.
There's also my book. I did my best to describe how to hold the iPhone

Hi,
I am switching from the original SE to either a 14 or 15. Since I
have never had to deal with face ID or a phone without a home key,
does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get a tutorial
for the new gestures and features of either of those phones?
Also, I was told that one of the 15 models gives you the option of
using face ID or not. Is that true, and if so, which one?
Thank you.

Subject: iOS 17.4 and Voice Messages Help Please.

Hello Everyone,

I finally took the plunge and updated my XR phone to iOS 17.4, as the update
was getting just a littleto pesty to deal with.

Now, since I did this just yesterday, all my voice mail messages are gone!

When I open the voice mail messages, I only get an option of deleted voice mail
messages, and I went in to that, but there are no deleted voice mail messages.

I was saving some of those messages, as I need them.

Any suggestions how to get those messages back?

This happened to me before, and I had to reset my entire phone in order to get
those messages back the last time I updated.

Thank you in advance for any help.

The story is that with much more use of AI, Siri will improve in iOS 18. I'm

Re: improvements in SIRI?

2024-03-22 Thread Chuck Adkins
No improvement at all, been messed up for a long time. You could call apple accesibility but others have and they are aware of it. I'm guessing its not to their financial advantage to fix it. However if it were a camera or photo issue, oh well. Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 22, 2024, at 11:59 AM, Paula Jordan wrote:Hi all.  SIRI Still stops herself in the middle of text messages, and does other strange things.  Is there any improvement in 17.4.1?  Just hoping.  Also, where is the best place to report frustration with SIRI?  God bless!Paula and the pups

Hi all. SIRI Still stops herself in the middle of text messages, and does
other strange things. Is there any improvement in 17.4.1? Just hoping.
Also, where is the best place to report frustration with SIRI?

God bless!
