You probably have Audio Ducking turned off, turn it back on (the default) and your problem with Airplay should go away. There is, however, still another bug which you will most likely encounter. At least for me and for some others SIRI will not work after using Airplay with Voiceover turned on.

I am looking for a way to tell how far I have walked using the iPhone. I like to walk around my neighborhood but I can't really tell how far I have walked. I was wondering if there is an app that I can use to do this. I would like it to use GPS to tell me how far it is from my starting point
