Re: What is the easy accessible way to get an apple ID?
These instructions are very good, I would just like to add something. When doing this you have to be fast enough, I had it time out on me a few times, and you have to start from the beginning whenever that happens. Creating an account on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch Open the App Store on your device. Find a free application on the App Store. Important: Before proceeding to the next step, you must download and install the free application by tapping Free followed by tapping Install App. Tap Create New Apple ID. Choose your country, and then tap Done. You'll need to read and agree to the iTunes Store Terms Conditions. Tap Agree located at the bottom of the page to continue. Enter your email address, security questions, birthday, and create your password. You also can enter an optional rescue email address. If you frequently change email addresses, it is recommended that you add a rescue email address. Learn more about the rescue email address. Once you are satisfied with the information entered, tap Next. Select None as your payment option. Continue to fill out the required email, address, and phone number fields. Tap Next. You'll then see a screen that says Verify your Account. Tap Done, and check your email for a verification email from iTunes Store. Open the email, and click the link enclosed in the email to activate your account. Once you tap the link, the App Store should automatically open and prompt you to sign in with your account name and password. Tap Sign In, and you will see a thank you screen. Re: Fleksy keyboard system wide on Jailbroken devices. Is it possible?
Hi Mike, I don't have any programming experience, but there is a jailbreak tweak that allows exactly that for a lot of native apps, and third-party apps. Re: Iblindtech 58
I know a lot of people that jail break just for the voices alone, but now that enhanced voices are available, it's not as important to people as it used to be. For me it's worth it, because I installed other tweaks on my phone, the question is is it worth it to you? I guess it depends on how bad you want the voice on your device. Hello, you need to allow the high-quality voice to download, the way it worked for me, is by plugging in the phone to the AC adapter, and also keep the phone connected to Wi-Fi. The high-quality voice started up while I was still setting up stuff on the phone. Sent from my iPhone On Nov 14, 2013, at 11:42 PM, Brent Harbolt bharb...@sbcglobal.net wrote: Hi guys. Definitely not as crisp and as clear as the iPhone 5. Has anyone else experienced this or is this just normal for the new 5s? It took me so long to get this phone that it's probably going to be another month to get a replacement. Anyone have any thoughts or observations on this? Anything would be appreciated. Thanks. Re: FaceBook App Update Not Updating
Hello Mark, I updated to version 6.7.1, and it went well, I am using an iPhone 5s, running iOS 7 03. Sent from my iPhone On Nov 9, 2013, at 1:10 AM, M. Apparently, Facebook submitted a corrupted cover art image with the app and the Apple servers are not happy about it. So, should you, like apparently thousands of people around the world, attempt to update your current version of the Facebook app and get an update error message, just close the Dialog box containing the error message and then cancel the download. This will allow you to continue to use your currently installed version of the app. Mark, -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Re: where will you purchase the iPhone 5s
Hello! I am buying the 5S, I am trying to avoid the long lines, so I'm thinking if I go to an ATT store, instead of an Apple Store maybe it will work. By the way, this is the first time I will try to get my hands on the iPhone the day comes out too, I have waited and lines before at the Apple store when the iPhone 4 came out, and it was two months After it had been released. Sent from my iPhone On Sep 16, 2013, at 5:43 AM, Raul A. Gallegos r...@raulgallegos.com wrote: Hi all. Just curious about what different people will do when it comes time to purchasing the iPhone 5s. Oh, and before I go on, just a point to note, the s in the name 5s is lower-case because if it's a capital S it looks too much like the number 5 visually, so Apple made it a small s on purpose. So, the correct way of writing it is iPhone 5s. Anyway, since you cannot pre-order the 5s, will you go to your local phone carrier store, or to the Apple store? I'm just curious as to whether people will go this Friday and wait long lines like Black Friday in the US, or if they will wait a few days until the lines get less. I'm pretty excited myself because this will be my first time getting a new phone the day it comes out. In the past I've gotten it when it was an afterthought, or in the case of the 4s, when it had been out for about 4 months already. usually I wait in case there are initial problems found with the first batch of hardware, but this time around I'm diving in with my eyes closed as the saying goes. Although all members are welcome to respond, I'm hoping that only people who are getting the 5s will respond to this thread since I'm not asking about whether it's a good idea, or if the 4s is better, or if we should stay with what we have. This is because there are other viphone threads which have already covered this. Cheers. -- Raul A. Gallegos Soft kitty, Warm kitty, Little ball of fur. Re: TV Guide App
Hi! I see what you mean, I just tried jumping to a channel. I typed in channel 56, which is the history channel, and Voice over started reading me results for channel 58, I think voice over is reading the last item that's on the screen, when it jumps to a channel other channels are still listed there. I recommend, when you jump to a channel, after voiceover read the results, run your finger on the left side of the screen from the top going towards the bottom until you find the channel number that you actually wanted. Another thing you can do is, if you know the name of the network you want, you can change to search for networks, instead of going to a channel, for example I searched for the history channel network which is HISTW, and it gave me two different channels for the history channel. Here is how to change the date, and time, after you double tap on change date and time, touch the bottom of the screen going from left to right. On the bottom left you will hear today, that's to change the date, slick right, you got that hour, click write again, and you got minutes, flick right one more time, and you got a.m., or p.m. These fields will read is picker item, so you flick up to change them, and you have to find the go button, so after you changed p.m., or AM, move your finger from the bottom right of the screen towards the top and you will find the go button, double tap, then you will get results. Re: Reading text messages in other language how to do it?
I added Spanish to the language rotor, if you haven't done that, I will tell you how. Go to settings/general/accessibility/voiceover/language rotor, Then select Spanish. Now, whenever you want to read something in Spanish, just use the rotor gesture, and when you find language, flick up or down to Switch languages. Re: Perplexing problem with Siri on Jailbroken iPhone 5
Hello, sounds to me like you have a tweet that is causing this problem, I am Joe broken on iOS 6.1.2, and I can tell Siri to launch apps with no problem. Sent from my iPhone On Feb 23, 2013, at 4:19 PM, Scott Van Gorp s_vang...@msn.com wrote: Good evening List: As the subject says, I’m having an issue on my jailbroken iPhone 5 now running iOS 6.1.2. The problem started a couple of days ago when I was still running 6.1.1, I noticed that siri was not opening apps when I would tell it to. She just kept saying “I don’t see you have an app named facebook” for example, when I do. No matter what app I would try to launch, it wouldn’t happen. Anyway, I went to iTunes 11 to do a restore, and it was going to upgrade the iOS, which is fine since I saw there was an update to the jb. Everything went fine this morning, but when I went to work, the problem started again. I first thought it had something to do with LTE vs. WiFi, so I didn’t worry about it until I got home. Now I’ve turned siri off, restarted the phone, and turned it back on with no success. Any ideas on what is causing this odd behavior? It was working fine as late as Wednesday on the old configuration, and the only thing I changed in the jb since then was adding software update killer and reset all killer. Any help would be appreciated. I would restore it again, but I’m afraid I’d have the same problem once I’m away from home. Thanks for any and all suggestions. I no longer see that option. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Re: random occurence?????
When opening Zella, and you aren't wearing headphones the sound routes to the ear piece, to get the sound routed back to the main speaker double tap on any channel, then double tap on options, the first button is turn on speaker, that will fix it. Whenever you're done using zella take it off the app switcher, so that it won't control your audio settings. Things went well until I exited the app. Voice-over was severely diminished, even when I shut down my Iphone 4 and turned it back on. I checked the sound level and was told it was at 100%. I then attempted to load another sound-using app, Atbat 2012 and this seemed to have negated the problem, so for those of you using Zello, be aware.
