Hi, If you are wanting a good quality picture, you want the back camera, which is the one on the back side of the phone, not on the screen side. If you want to take a selfy, that is the front camera and it is lower quality than the back camera, so not good for quality photos or OCR. Richard

In the camera app you can change between back and front camera, by default it uses the back camera until you have a 3D touch capable iPhone and you use 3D Touch on the camera app where one option is "Take a Selfi", then it will automatically be set to the front camera. I don't think in KNFB
