Hi Anne and WAMUG folks.
I think you might find there was actually a very small attachment
with the message from Susan yesterday, well, at least the very short
message I received from her yesterday did. It appears to be due to a
virus, which I believe may have infected her PC.

The following extract from an article by Microsoft mentions Linux, which isa
version of Unix, as having security vulnerabilities. Does this mean that
System X, which has at its core the BSD version of Unix, will become a target
for viruses, ending the virtually virus-free Mac environment?

We are running OS8.6 on a 5500/225 and have recently installed

It displays all local web pages (served off the hard disk)
It displays ftp:// files from remote

Hi
Can someone point me to information about dial-in facilities (Mac to

Hi Brian,
Under Mac OS X 10.1 you cannot view DVD's on an external TV. I looked it up
last night and it's just not supported yet. Under Mac OS 9, simply do the
following:
Connect up your TV to the PowerBook. Turn video mirroring ON. Change the
video resolution to something like 800x600 or

and get all the extra features but there is a nice workaround which I
discovered.
On their web site Adobe allows you access for tryouts for conversion
to PDF format. You sign in (no cost) and then you get five, yes
