I wondered why my iMac startup slowed down recently.
So I checked in System Preferences/Users & Groups/Login Items.
There is an App that I don’t recognise in there called “SpeechSynthesisServer”
Does any know what that is and does it need to be in my Startup Apps ?

I am looking for a MacBook for my grandson.
In good condition and not too old please.
Seen some 2011 models with new 250GB SSD for around the $500 mark.
But that is more ancient than I would like.
Perhaps something newer if possible ?

Stephen Chape

of this makes any sense to me and I wonder now if this has to be the
process with every DAVID update ?
Or does anyone know if something else needs adjusting to prevent this ?
