Doesn't mention 'Kernel Panic' on screen, just 'need to restart yoyr computer',
on both machines. Similar age I guess thats why I thought
battery could be flat?
Thanks,
Ken

Hello Wamuggers
The Atari equipment has been taken and is going to a computer museum. Looks
like some of the Apple gear is going there too. I'm very pleased.
I am still cleaning out my shed and have more equipment if anyone is interested.

The same as Tom's query.
I am writing a book and have started a number of Chapters (7 so far) in Pages;
some I have also converted to Word.
Would appreciate yours and others comment on this. Would Word be better??

Darrel,
I have extensive experience with both Word and Pages.
As an avid MS Word user in the early years of Mac history it was my WP of

Hi everyone,
I have an iPad 1 and Camera connection plug and cable. I am using two

When I connect either camera to the iPad a message comes up that the

Hi Lloyd
Like Ronni, I've not had that problem. I have an iPad2, not an iPad1 so
procedure may be different ...
Apple Discussion site suggests taking the SD/Memory card out of the camera and
using the card reader function of the camera kit. Discussion link is:
Hi Lloyd,
Also check that you have the Camera /s in the correct mode to import photos via
USB.
The Canon I think uses PTP for photo import.
This is mentioned in one of the links below that Alan has supplied:
If your camera supports both PTP and Mass Storage Device modes, it may be

Thanks Ronni and Alan,
I have tried it with the card reader also. As soon as the connector is
inserted the unsupported message comes up. The photo application does
not launch as you suggest Ronni. No Camera button appears.
Perhaps my connector is faulty.
I will take it to the Apple shop in
Just a thought, have you used the camera to reformat the cards? Or are they the
default format settings, I had a problem once where I thought I would be clever
and formatted my cards and then changed the directory structure on the card,
not so clever!

Thanks Hugh,
I always reformat my cards in the camera because I know it causes
problems. Now on to Ronni's advice on importing modes. And I thought it
would be simple !! :-)
