I remember seeing Rev. Tucker playing an evil Chaos spy on Get Smart. I don't
remember the name of the episode, but it was memorable seeing our Rev. Tucker
being a bad guy. Perhaps he forgot to listen to his own sermon about the dice
being loaded against the evil doers

Speaking of TAGS alumni showing up on Dragnet, I recently saw Burt Mustin give
a very strong portrayal of a retired Chief Detective/Apartment manager who very
comically gave unsolicited advice to Joe Friday and Bill Gannon on how to solve
a murder investigation.

On an episode of Bonanza,which aired Memorial Day,I spotted two TAGS actors.One
was the actor who portrayed the jinx,Henry Bennett,and the other was a
whiskerless,very young Denver Pyle(Briscoe).

Last night while watching some Brady Bunch DVDs, I spotted the bully who
picked on little Mike near the end of the series. He was depicting a bully
again, picking on little Cindy. He got his come-uppance from Peter and

Just spotted one of the Bookie Barber's co-horts on Get Smart. He was
playing a henchman and didn't have any lines. Funny how a guy like that--who
was probably as nice as anyone off-stage--could make a career out of playing
bad guys just because he sortof looked sinister.

Last night I was watching an episode of One Step Beyond on DVD with my
husband (it's a circa 1960 TV show similar to The Twilight Zone) and
recognized a couple of TAGS alumni. One was Amzie Strickland (Miss Rosemary
and other characters) and the other Jon Lormer (Parnell Rigsby in Opie's
Floyd appeared in an old film called Kiss Me Stupid yesterday morning on
TMC; it starred Dean Martin. This morning, Mr. Foley was on Walton's
Mountain.

I was watching the Encore western channel last night, and a movie came on
called Ride Beyond Vengeance, starring Chuck Connors. TAGS alumni Bill Bixby
had a role in the film, and I believed it aired in 1966. At the first of the

for my football team's game to start. I find the series always has plenty of

Today I watched part of an old Jerry Lewis film called Ladies Man and one of
the sound technicians was portrayed by Mayberry's mailman; I believe his
name was Doodles Weaver? Let me wish everyone a wonderful
Independence Day celebration next week; wouldn't it be great to be in
Mayberry
I was watching an episode of the King Of Queens the other day when a lady that
Arthur (Jerry Stiller's character) was with started to look very familiar. My
wife said I was wrong, but I was bound to find out. Sure enough, when the
credits rolled, it was Arlene Golonka (our own Millie Hutchins).
Today's episode of _The Beverly Hillbillies_ has Cousin Pearl practicing
her singing. Every time she sets to yodeling, Ellie Mae's dogs come
barging into the parlor and start to howling by jumping on her.
Pearl had enough of that wanted to get rid of the dogs. Jed showed her

I watched Cheers for Miss Bishop (1941) last night on TCM. Sterling
Holloway (them doorbells) played a nice role. Pretty good movie about
a college English instructor. Of course, being a professor type myself,

I turned on a movie last night (Saturday) that was about 45 minutes
or so into the movie. Don't recall the name of it, but it was about
an Army Lieutenant who was being tried to killing a man who allegedly
raped the LT's wife.

What a treat to spot Miss Ellie in a ballet film this evening titled The
Unfinished Dance. She must've been about 6 and was adorable and a lovely
dancer. The story line was quite disturbing, wherein the other child ruined a
prima ballerina's career but it ended well and had many lovely scenes
Well, I didn't know SciFi was running the Twilight Zone for 4 whole days but
it did give me a chance to catch more alumni. Saw Amzie Strickland in a
role a little more animated than our Miss Rosemary. And Inspector Case in a
lead role in another episode about bad parents.

Spotted the newspaper publisher who tried to make Andy look bad and Erma Bishop
in a Betty Grable picture this weekend, The Shocking Miss Pilgrim (she became
one of the first female typists). Also saw Thelma Lou in a Bette Davis film
recently. Who knew our Mayberry friends had worked with
Watched Pollyana, one of my all-time favorite films today and was tickled to
see Eleanora Poultice, Mary Grace, Parnell Rigsby and that visiting preacher
when Aunt Bee wore the wig. It was like a mini-Mayberrry reunion!

Watching an original Dragnet yesterday and was really surprised to see
Officer Frank Smith was not the Frank Smith (played for years by Ben
Alexander) I was used to seeing. It was Bobby Fleet! (the 2nd one). Plus
one of the bad guy was The Bookie Barber (Herb Vigran).
