WBMUTBB Chapter Meeting following Mayberry Days Trivia on Friday September
22, 2023. Trivia begins at ~4:30pm and the chapter members will meet about
10 minutes or so after the trivia championship is over. Where: Blackmon

To add to another’s list of what to do and where to go at Mayberry
Days….remember Snappy Lunch hours are 6am to 1:45pm and they are not open on
Sundays. There are no exceptions to their hours during Mayberry Days which is
really a disappointment because they could really rake in the moolah

our annual WBMUTBB service project is coming up. After 20 silent auctions, we
had a successful live auction at the Blackmon Amphitheatre thanks to Eric
Lowery's talents and will do that again this year. We have another

Ray and I got home Sunday night after spending our vacation all last week in
the Mt. Airy area for Mayberry Days. What fun! This was the first time we
went for more than just Friday and Saturday, and we enjoyed the more leisurely
pace and the opportunity to see and do more things than before
My wife Linda and I attended Mayberry Days for the first time in fifteen years
and we were not disappointed... we had such fun! We got reacquainted with
Maggie Peterson and Betty Lynn, and met Joy Ellison (Mary Wiggins/Effie

shown at the Earle Theater. I never saw this movie before so I went today. The

Good news for Clint Howard but not as much for Mayberry Days. He was called to
be on location for a new movie which will conflict with his plans to come to
Mount Airy. He regrets not being able to attend this year but looks forward to

Professor Brower's Lecture will held
Things are shaping up for another great festival in Mount Airy this year and I
look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. If you've never been to
Mayberry Days take advantage of excellent weather (according to Calvin
Coolidge) and come to Mount Airy this weekend.

impressive with two new stars, Barbara Eden and Clint Howard, attending this
year. They are scheduled to appear at both the Matinee and Evening shows for
Colonel Tim's Talent Time, hosted by WBMUTBB members David
I failed to note that Bruce Bilson directed Barbara Eden in the movie
"Chattanooga Choo Choo". On Thursday at 9pm (after "The Emmett" dinner at Cross
Creek), he will discuss his experience directing the movie as well as directing
Barbara in episodes of the television series Harper Valley PTA.

What an end to Mayberry Days for us!! The old feet just won't do all the
walking any more so we have had to call it quits!!
In doing some research, I enjoyed the episode of the choir singing Voices
Of the Woods...better known as Welcome Sweet Springtimegood old 14A.
