When my husband and I were on our first day of vacation a couple of
weeks ago, we were looking for a certain restaurant in Franklin, NC.

As a remembrance, I have been wearing my Mayberry t-shirt. I received

While watching Barney talk to Fred Plummer about littering in front of the
grocery store, there was a sign in the window that they had 'little pigs, whole
or half'. At first I thought it was a reference to sausage but there was

Paul, Like you I have read the 'Cat Who' books and loved them. Another series
you must read is the Liturgical mystery series by Mark Schweitzer. The first
book is 'The Alto Wore Tweed'. These books are set in a small NC town and the
Author lives in Tryon, NC. They are a laugh-out-loud mystery

The first show I thought of with door to door sales was Opie and his
friends selling Salve. Then there was the shoe salesman in those Gossipin'
Men and in the color episode where Aunt Bee was babysitting a relative's
baby and a kitchenware salesman came by and ended up helping with the baby.
While watching the dogs in the jail house, I noticed the big dog with his
paws and head inside the bookcase top shelf. The same bookcase that is
notorious for getting its glass broken with a broom or a sling shot. Also,

Paul, I am a piano teacher and often notice that when the piano is being
'played', hands tend to be at the wrong side of middle C for the notes that

I always wondered what Piccalilli was and now I know. I found it in an old

There is a story in the news right now where a man got lost going after his
dog on a trip. The dog was seen but ran when the searchers came near. The
searchers were issued harmonicas to use to calm the dog so he can be

A story in our local news lately has been the accidental discharge of a
Deputy Sheriff at a crime scene. The gun was holstered while the deputy was
writing something down and the gun went off. The bullet was found lodged in
his wallet. His quote was The gun was in its 3-point safety holster. You

For those of who either don't get or don't read the Sunday comics, Mayberry

I can understand why Goober waxed Howard's car. For one, I think he just
wanted to give Howard a good send off and waxing the car is his way of
showing his friendship and wishing Howard good luck. Also, my husband is a
car guy and he always wants his car to look good for special occasions.

My favorite dancing episode is when Howard had a party at his new bachelor

Ken, It is possible to have that many years is siblings. My father's oldest
sibling was 10 years older and the youngest was 17 years younger. And that
