The Ultimeter is connected directly to the PI USB port, however, I do have a USB hub for keyboard and mouse on one of the other PI USB ports. I have also tried three different power supplies and get the same results, with one being a 7 amp power supply. The Pi is a: Raspberry Pi 2 Model B I am

I suspect most FineOffset users probably use a powered hub of some kind to avoid the RPi USB ports. Never heard of over voltage before I must admit, but am sure that over voltage will destroy most electronics. Sounds like you may have had some bad luck though - or even a faulty unit. Not

You could always have the web server somewhere other than on the rpi and then just use weewx/rpi to build pages in public_html (using SQLite as the database perhaps), and ftp the buil;t pages to your real protected webserver wherever it may be - on your lan or maybe even on external servers.
