Due to unforeseen circumstances I cannot take part in the tests April 7. To the
development team: Sometimes you get an offer you cannot refuse. I think this is
one of those times and I hope you will give Grant’s offer serious
consideration.

Hi,
In this thread, I see a few comments related to JA spectrum allocation. Thus, I
summarized the status as follow for your reference.
1907.5-1912.5KHz (total 5kHz) is allocated to narrow band digital. Therefore,
both daily WSJT-X and DX pedition would be split mode. Daily FT-8 split QSO
Joe,
I am new to this list (having only realised it was open for me to subscribe to
this week). I was also one of those pesky DXPedition stations who wanted to
(and originally had intended to) use Expedition mode pre-GA when I reach
Vanuatu on the 16th of April.
I've now, out of respect of
The problem is Serge, that they picked frequencies that are normally in
use by other modes, thus causing more problems then Fox & Hounds solves,
as they did not consider the consequences of those actions.

Hello Dev team,
I am unsure if this can be done or is really desirable but could selecting
FT8 dxpedetion mode also change the whole colour scheme of WSJT-X to some
bright colour as a warning that is now selected?
It would seem WSJT-X needs to cater for those who have little regard for

You know we would use the DXp side of WSJT-X as soon as you released
it. Because it's new, because it's shining, because it's what we
expected, because we don't know what to expect but we

I find, for one, that they are doing a very good job. They found how to

Everyone paying attention should already know what's contained in this

The current General Availability (GA) release of WSJT-X is v1.8.0. That
program version does not include FT8 DXpedition Mode.
We have made beta-level "release candidates"

That's a touchy one Joe. The JA's have been using 1908 for their FT8 window.
Anything above 1845 you start running into SSB stations. Maybe 1838 to be
just above the WSPR. I know you will run into the established 1840 FT8 but a
compromise will be needed. Another choice maybe is 1833 for dxpedition

Thanks for catching this error. Not a typo, exactly,
I am currently running WSJT-X 1.9-rc3 r8590. I have set the option to have the
program prompt me to log a QSO. I noticed this morning that upon a prompt, the
Report Rcvd field is blank and that I have to enter that value manually.

I do not understand why the dxp mode cannot be used on the standard FT8
freqs, ft8 users do not want the junk on their freqs but are quite happy to
walk all over everyone else is that the modern day version of the ham spirit

I keep reading that band blocks cannot be put in but that is a lie
