FYI,
Not sure if this is related, however: I have always seen this delay 2-4 second
with ICOM 756Pro3 and 7300 radios if I set Split to Rig, the problem does not
exist if I set Split to Fake it.

I would say that what WSJT-X refers to as "Configurations" are commonly
called "Profiles".

All,
Before everyone starts yelling at me I got confused. It is when I run
WSJT-X 2.4 standalone on the remote port at 9600 or 19200 baud that I have
seen the delay issue resolved by a computer restart. When I run WSJT--X
2.4 from within N1MM at 115200 I have no problems.

I use an IC-7300 and have noticed the 3-4 second delay issue but it is
intermittent. It usually occurs after I have been doing things in Device
Manager with my com ports like trying to figure out which port is which. .
It is resolved with a computer restart. I then get a TX delay that is

W4TV suggested a workaround -- don't use WSJT-X to set the radio mode.
I've always selected None with my K3. And because I don't want WSJT-X to

I assume these recent complaints about "Tx start delay" are the result

Transmit start delay - My 2 cents worth:
I too have the transmit sequence start delay problem. For me, it started
with version 2.4 GA. I did not have the issue with version 2.4 rc4. I also
have the problem with version 2.5 rc1. I have about a 1 second transmit
delay. I can hear other stations
Hi Cornel,
your question is not really related to WSJT-X. Most remote desktop tools
try and reroute audio devices to the local PC, if WSJT-X is expecting to
use those audio devices then it is going to be unable to operate. I do
not know if, or how, you might stop this happening, but as a

Could I suggest a change of name from "Configurations" to something a
bit more intuitive, maybe "User preset modes" or "User presets"? Might
help with understanding their power.

Hi,
I'm not sure, if this issue has its reason in wsjtx, but perhaps there's a
solution anyway:

1 is connected via USB soundcard to my rig
1 is downstairs in the living room, also Ubuntu 20.04.
When sitting in front of my PC where the rig is connected, I can chose the
