How often does one get new versions of WSJT-X if compiling in JTSDK? I am

Any ideas on this one?

Is there an easy way to get JTSDK to build 1.6.1 versions? I have heard that
it is quite stable and would like to give it a try, especially as WSPR is

Does this mean that I can only use the official release in future?
