I've tagged the XFree86 4.3.0 release. The tag is "xf-4_3_0", and the
branch tag associated with this release is "xf-4_3-branch". This should
all be visible from the anoncvs repository soon. This marks the closing
of the 4.3.0 release, and I'd like to thank all who have contributed to

The fixes for these problems haven't been merged into 4.3 release because

I don't think this is an XFree86 problem. Perhaps if you disabled
your onboard graphics from within your motherboard bios, that would help.
Sounds like having two video cards in the system is confusing some
configuration application that comes with your Linux distribution.
I am testing XFree86-4.3.0rc2 (binary from ftp.xfree86.org) on Linux-2.4.20,

The error message is telling you that there is a file called .X0-lock in the
directory /tmp/ and you need to delete it in order to start X --IF-- the
server is no longer running.
