Re: Zammad Setup and import data from mail account
Hi Babak, hi Felix, that's correct. Per default Zammad is only pulling the IMAP INBOX (but could be configured to one other folder name). In case you do not need your old history of customers I also would recomment to use the old emails only as "archive via imap" (in case of 10,000 emails need to parse/process them all once - it will take a view hours the first time - as Babak mentioned). -Martin Am Mittwoch, 6. From what i have read here and in the docs i would go for the rest api and write an PHP import script but i am very grateful for every advice you can give me and which will save me time. So i have this email account with subfolders for every customer and some more subfolders and i want to keep this directory structure. All in all i guess its over 1 mails and some 2000 customers which need to be imported. For old mails i would create one ticket and attach all mails there. Does this sound reasonable for you? Re: Zammad Setup and import data from mail account
Hi Felix, https://docs.zammad.org/en/latest/channel-mail.html You won't be able to do anything with the directory structure etc, as Zammad only imports mails from INBOX (am I right @Martin?) It will be a huge amount of work to assign all existing mails to tickets / together - the basic question is, is it worth it? Or just keep the IMAP mailbox for archive reasons, make a cut and start from scratch with Zammad... Best Babak Am Freitag, 11. Re: Zammad Setup and import data from mail account
Hi Martin, that would be definitely an option. I have to check wether the email account supports imap. Can you pinpoint me to some documentation on how to import emials via imap to zammad? Thank you in advance. Felix Am Freitag, 11. Hi Felix, would it be an option to just import/fetch all emails via IMAP into Zammad? -Martin Am Donnerstag, 10. Zammad Setup and import data from mail account
We plan to use zammad as our new CRM/Helpdesk software and i need to know if there is a way to import all our mails into Zammad.
