Note that this also effects Zope 2. Starting with the next release,
the Zope 2 and Zope 3 will be released together. Zope 2.9 will
include Zope 3.2. If Zope 3.2 requires Python 2.4,

We will also require Python 2.4 for Zope 3.2, so feel free to use new
Python features such as decorators.
How did we decide this? Shouldn't we follow a proposal-based policy for
a change like this?

Now that 3.1 has been branched, I was planning on merging
zope.testbrowser into the trunk, but because it depends on 2.4 I'm
unsure about that now. Should I just merge it and back port it to 2.3
if necessary, or should I just wait and see?

Hello everyone,
I want to add language namespace to 'zope.app.traversing.namespace' so someone
can override the language settings through URL, like this:
http://site.com/++language++ru/path
I guess this feature would be useful for sites with selectable languages.
Implementation notes:

Hi,
I just wrote a small proposal for the migration to Python 2.4:

Please feel free to add any facts or analysis that I missed and comment on the
proposal.

I've put up the first cut of a proposal to include zope.testbrowser in

Definitely. If it's the only thing in 3.2 that wants 2.4, then it'll be
back ported.

At first I was thinking that the last Friday of each month or something

Hi everyone,
I was just putting together the release and noticed a problem. zopetest.py
does not honor the Python setting I specified during ./configure. It always
selects /usr/bin/python.
I noticed this because my /usr/bin/python/ has its own pytz version, which
differs from the Zope 3 one
