Hmm, could you be please little more specific?
I've just tried it (with gcc 2.96-98) on i686 and it compiled just fine.
As MPlayer does not come up with a testsuite, I cannot test it though.
Do you get ICE on some file, or does it miscompile some file?
If the latter, how can I reproduce it, on which input file, etc?
There have been no bugreports about this reported to Red Hat, and IMHO it
would be faster for the author to enter a bugreport than to put all the
flames in his configure and FAQ.
