The

*****BTW, *slight* porting will NOT accomplish your horsepower goals you
implied. And you will end up having the valves custom made, there's nothing
off the shelf for the GA16. Ferrea quoted me $30 per valve, and you'll
likely need custom retainers as well. It will be surprising if you can build
the head for less than 2K, without cams.

JWt will have cams so that is another
>thing in dealing with the head, not to overport it.

*****I spoke with JWT on Monday about the 1.6 cams. Althought they have
finished primary testing on welded stock cam cores, I was informed that
because of priorities in the market, they have held off having the cam cores
cast as of yet. They will probably be cast this fall, testing will continue
to narrow down the available cam psofiles, and they won't be available until
spring 2001. Kind of a bummer, I was patiently waiting to try hotter cams
for Tim Mather's Sentra.

Good for about
>200+ hp easy.

*****In all honesty, without radical cams profiles, high compression (12.0
or more), and more severe porting, it will be tough to come close to these
numbers in a NA engine, especially a streetable one. Your intent is an
honest one, but it will become a money-pit in a hurry if you're not careful.
