Well
for all those years that I tried certain exhausts and intakes and of
course the damn Bullfrog cams, there was nobody to test the parts. I have
been at this since I bought the car in 1992. I made custom parts for the car
including a rear strut brace that was custom welded in place. I wish there
was an authority to say what was the best parts to use. Unfortunately, I
learned the hard way in the beginning. Trying parts is costly, and sometimes
worthwhile and sometimes not. The bulfrog cams I placed in the motor did not
work properly. They neglected to provide shims and Nissan didn't have the
right thickness, so I sent them back. Later I found out they quit making
them for that reason.
I thank you Mike for helping us out. I wish you guys would have
intervened a long time ago. As far as the TB is concerned, I did prove that
you could attach the GA linkage with patience to the SR20 TB. The TPS will
work and you don't have to modify the GA TPS to work on the SR TB. The thing
works and works well. I had no problems. I did notice a jump off the line,
but also noticed no additional power in the mid to upper range like you said.
It growls deeper though. I guess when I finally rebuild the motor with cams
and porting and high compression, I will notice a difference. I understand
the stock cams can't push the larger air volume that is potentially there.
When are the cams going into production?
Also, Mike, is the current JWT ECU I have going to run the street cams?
What if I go radical in cam, will I need to adjust the ECU for idle control
with larger cam lift.
                Thanks
                    Chris 92 classic
