Ooops, Not exactly. It worked the first time
Now, even if I re-initialize all (droip recovery database, ...),
controllers can't see each other

FYI: The problem is fixed by upgrading to sequoia 2.10.9
Now I've a new problem, when I try to restore a backend, I've the
followin error
MATISSEDB(admin) > restore backend sd11 sd01init
Backend login for restore process > mat_user
Backend password for restore process >
Restoring backend sd11 with dump sd01init
java.io.IOException: mysqladmin: not found

This is done, any other idea ?
Do you see any packets for the multicast IP address arriving on the
second controller, do a tcpdump on the interface you expect to see the
traffic on. Are there any firewall rules that maybe preventing the
packets from being received?

Hi,
Depending on your switch, you may have to specifically enable
multicast.

I'm facing exactly the same problem, did tou find a solution ?
As you did, I've added a route but that didn't solve the problem

Hi Stuart,
Thanks for your helping. I am using mode=1 (active-backup) in
Ethernet Bonding configuration. But I have two ip address one is
Public IP (Bond0:0) and another one is Local IP (Bond0).
I have added the route as you mention below
route add -host 224.1.1.5 dev bond0
while checking tcpdump -i bond0 host 224.1.1.5 its going to Public
IP. Still the both controllers are not communicating. How I can
change the group communication to local IP or any other way to
solve this problem.
Thanks in Advance.

Hello Everyone.
I have installed sequoia controller in two machine's.
Controllers were started separately. Though the console I
could not able to see the other controller. Following is the
network settings.
1. Hostname is translated to the real IP address of the
controller node. This is verified by ping the hostname. And its
resolved to real ip address also as per the document given by
you.
2. I have configured *Ethernet Bonding for eth0 and eth1 to
achieve *redundancy for our network. Bond0 is local
ip(172.20.100.85) and Bond0:0 in public ip and default route is
defined in local ip as 172.20.0.1
What mode of bonding are you using?
Multicast and bonding are not out of the box working, you must
add a route as followings for the multicast addresses (which you
can find in the appia.xml i believe)
route add -host 224.1.1.5 dev bond0
route add -host 224.2.2.5 dev bond0
to verify
tcpdump -i bond0 host 224.1.1.5
I am using hederaPropertiesFile="/hedera_appia.properties" in
virtualdatabase xml file for group communication. Controller1 is
not communicating to contrller2 and I am strucked up. Could
someone help me please.
Thanks in Advance.
