1st is the rotor turning when cranking?  I assume so or the hep wouldn't 
work.  Is the cap intact?

Is #3 firing only when it should, or is it firing in place of 1,2,4 also. 
(back to not turning rotor...)

This could happen if you put the coil wire on #3 and the #3 on the coil 
post, but you can't do that with a normal 2.2 cap right?

What happens if you put the timing light on the coil wire?
