I would agree.
I built a couple Pent IV 1.4 GHz with 768 mgs of RAM for a friend and he
is running 98SE (on a dual boot w/Linux).

I know at home we have a couple AMD 1200s (roughly 1.2 GHz) with 512 mg
again running 98SE.

Main limiting factor with 98SE is that it can only handle up to 1 GB of
RAM. I believe the same is true w/ME.

Mark, I've got ME because when I had this machine built
they told me I had to have it because of the size of my
processor, 1.25 GB. As soon as the market gets back
to just where it was two years ago it's "GOODBYE" PC

ME is the devil seed. The worst of every kernel and
       more.
Honestly, for home use, I would say 98SE or W2K for the
       Windows
       platforms.

Al, don't get ME. My sister-inlaw is a puter
programer/ miss puter fix-it for a major computer outfit

and she told me that they have taken ME off ALL of their

customers units and replaced it free with either
Win/Plus or XP. Guess what I got with my new puter,
you guessed it "ME". Apple here I come, as soon as
the markets come back that is. RK Manufacturer's of

       Techies,
I used win95 on old machine and had installed win95
       "plus". Liked the
extra features and games. Now new puter has win2k pro.
       Can't find a
"plus" package nor a game pack for it. Any suggestions?
       Does the XP
version work ok on 2k? Tia.

       Al
