My Take is quite simple, I am at a range and clubmaking is my sole source of income. Before I had a location I would always check to see if there was another clubmaker on site. If there was I would first refer the potential customer to the resident clubmaker, if the response was I have been to him/her and I did not like what was being done than that was a different story. If I was going to fit someone then I would ask the appropriate people for permission to do so.
As you know all clubmakers are not alike and achieve different results for their clients, this then becomes a reputation thing and you have total control how you are perceived in this business by the type of work that you do. That being said, I would not want someone soliciting work at my range without my Knowledge or consent.
