Alan,

I haven't found any better for me in damp weather than the new Karakal
X-Weather Black, the one with the white perforations at the bottom of
Karakal's web page
http://www.karakalgolfgrips.com/x_weather.cfm?new_title=X-Tack%20Grips It's
firmer than the Classic Winn and has a kind of a non-slick wrap with
imbedded fibers. It's not expensive either at a little more than half the
price of a Winn. Notice that Karakal no longer has tape around the bottom of
the wrap and underlisting. Quality of wrap fit on underlisting isn't as good
as Winn, but they seem to hold up much better for me than Winns so far.
(Haven't had them on very long, since they were new this last Fall.) Note
that if you remove the grip from a club with a blade grip remover, solvent
seems to slightly loosen the wrap at the very top a tiny bit, but not as
much as it can on a Winn at the bottom.
